I was introduced to the Martial Arts and
trained with Kung Fu Master and Marine
Corps Instructor, Victor Cerano, in 1976, in the
Bronx, New York.

I moved to Nevada in 1980. In 1985 joined
American Freestyle Karate School under
Sensei Gary Shirrill and obtained the rank of
brown belt.

In 1988 I joined the Twin Jade Cat Martial
Arts under Shidoshi Jayro
n D. Robinson.
Obtaining the rank of Niden - this began my
training in Kyokushin Kiai.

In 1990 I joined Carol and Darren Cox's Kiai
Kempo located in Salt Lake City, Utah, and
received the rank of Shodan.
I opened my first school at the Indian Colony
Gymnasium under Kiai. Later moving the
location of the school to a local dance studio
where we trained for 14 years. During this
time our school became affiliated with Shihan
Jon Rynearson of the American Kyokushin
Karate Organization. In 1999 we joined the
AKKO under Frederick Buck as Tiger's Eye
Martial Arts. Under the AKKO I have obtained
the rank of 4th Dan and have become the
Nevada Branch Chief of the AKKO.
